Meet Woody, my brothers cat.

I've seriously fallen behind on the dailies. I started a new job last month, in a photography store. The pay and hours are nothing to write home about, but the opportunity to learn is worth it! Of course, there are some side benefits like playing with a 5D all afternoon and 3 or 4 co-workers giving me tips...!

This shot was taken for my portrait course. We've been asked to pick a theme and come up with 4 or 6 images for a show at the end of the month. I'm still struggling with the theme, but this shot was inspired by Tippy's shot last month of her grandfathers cowboy hat. I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

My 2008 resolution - get back into the daily photo habit! As I have very recently been "downsized" from the corporate world, and taking a break before jumping back into that circus, I have no excuses for NOT doing this.

I shot this yesterday strolling in a local park. The weather is unusually warm - something like minus 2. I've never noticed birds in the winter before, guess I wasn't looking for them until now. I am amazed that these beautiful little things can survive our harsh winters where minus 30 everyday for a month is not unusual. I'm so glad they don't fly south - they were a breath of fresh air yesterday and a reminder that spring is only 3 months away!

another cheat day... I took this photo last month when Chris got his new guitar. If he isn't sleeping (as you all saw a few days ago!), or eating, he's playing one of his guitars. This picture kind of sums him up in a nutshell - it's all about the music.
